About Michele:
Michele Daugherty, President & CEO for Associated Builders and Contractors Central Florida Chapter (ABC) is a leader who has dedicated 25 years to empowering others and advocating for change. In 2023, she was ranked #37 in City and State's Florida Construction Power 100, recognizing her impact in the construction industry.
Michele's journey began in the 90s, working on a construction crew on a Gold Mine in Rural Nevada and experiencing the underrepresentation of women in the workforce. She then became the Director of the University of Nevada, Reno College of Business Advising Center. Michele returned to the construction industry in 2005.
Michele's leadership extends to various boards and committees, fostering workforce development and safety initiatives. In her current role in Central Florida, Michele continues to create pathways for others and advocates for diversity, safety, and total human health in the industry.
