As an Asian- owned MBE company, Libby oversees the entire division of the business that serves the state and federal contracts and has been in the construction industry for over 21 years. Mendiratta shares what it's like growing up in a family-owned business and how they use each other's strengths in various areas of the business to help things run much more efficiently. Libby Mendiratta is the Executive Vice President and co-owner of G.E. Frisco Company, Inc. - a family-owned business specializing in supplying lumber and building materials across the Mid-Atlantic region. As an Asian- owned MBE company, Libby oversees the entire division of the business that serves the state and federal contracts and has been in the construction industry for over 21 years. Recently, she has also taken on the people and culture role of the company, working towards creating and maintaining a winning team culture rooted in inclusion, gratitude, respect, and high performance of all employees. She believes that their people are the company's greatest asset. She is on the Board of Directors for NAWIC DC Chapter #67, the past chair of the Women Building Washington Committee in Associated Builders and Contractors Metro Washington, the WIC Week Chair of the annual Women in Construction Conference in DC, and an active committee member of Washington Building Congress. She volunteers in project SheBuilds and National Rebuilding Day with Rebuilding Together Montgomery County to help renovate and provide critical repairs to the vulnerable population. She is a champion of helping the younger generation learn more about the construction industry and trades as well as uplifting the voices of women to inspire more females to enter the industry and elevate into leadership positions. She believes in women having a seat at the table and would love to see even more women at the head of the table.
