Angela and Christi interview Julie Laughton, a designer, general contractor, and CEO of Julie Laughton Design Build and JLGC. She provides a unique one-stop shop Design Build service for her clients. Laughton talks about how she became successful by wearing many hats throughout her career which gave her invaluable experience. She then took that experience and uses it today to help guide her clients through the entire design to home-building process with far less stress and drama that might come with a similar project from dealing with multiple individuals. Julie calls these her zen-like projects.

About Julie:

Julie Laughton is a designer, general contractor and CEO of Julie Laughton Design Build and JLGC. She is a graduate of Iowa State University where she studied Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Mechanical Engineering and Interior Design. After graduating in 1985, she moved to New York City where she worked for two different architecture firms and the top five developers in Manhattan. In 1991, Julie left New York City, moved to Los Angeles and quickly found her way to Laguna Beach where she started and built her successful custom home and remodeling business. She provides a unique one-stop shop Design Build service for her clients. She draws the plans as the designer and runs the job as the general contractor, overseeing all aspects of the project from conception to completion with her hand-picked team of experts.
