About Samantha:

Samantha DeAlmeida Roman currently serves as President and CEO of the Associated Builders and Contractors New Jersey Chapter (ABC-NJ), the largest ABC chapter in the country, representing more than 1,600 member companies and over 100,000 employees in the construction industry. At just 30 years old, she became the youngest president in the organization’s history, leading one of New Jersey’s most prominent trade associations and giving merit shop contractors a powerful voice in Trenton and Washington, D.C.

Her path to leadership began when she was hired as ABC-NJ’s Director of Government Affairs. Recognized quickly for her expertise, work ethic, and ability to navigate complex policy landscapes, Samantha was elevated to the role of President and CEO just one year later. Since taking the helm, she has dramatically expanded the organization’s Apprenticeship Training Program, bringing opportunity to dozens of trades and creating new pathways into construction careers for women, minorities, and veterans across the state.

Samantha is a passionate advocate for diversifying the construction industry and breaking down barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field. Under her leadership, ABC-NJ has partnered with statewide organizations and educational institutions to expand access to pre-apprenticeship and training programs in underserved communities, empowering the next generation of construction professionals.

Her leadership has earned her recognition on InsiderNJ’s Top Millennials, Power List, and Top Labor List, in addition to being honored during the Women Who Empower awards. She was also named to the Philadelphia Titan 100, which celebrates the region’s most accomplished CEOs and executives.

Samantha holds dual master’s degrees in Public Policy and Homeland Security from Monmouth University and is known for her ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on execution. Beyond her professional work, she is committed to building a construction industry that is safer, more inclusive, and more equitable for all.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Samantha has built a reputation as a bold, forward-thinking leader whose impact continues to transform both the construction industry and the broader business community. Sam loves to spend her time with her daughter, Reagan and her husband John.
