About Chris:

Chris Moore is President of CarolinaPower, a leading employee-owned electrical contractor serving industrial, commercial, healthcare, and federal markets in the two-state Carolinas region. CarolinaPower is among a select group of electrical contractors nationally to consistently make the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) prestigious annual list of Top Performers.

A 30-year veteran of the construction industry, Moore has been with CarolinaPower since its inception more than 25 years ago and has served as President since 2019. Originally established as a branch of Georgia-based MetroPower, CarolinaPower has exhibited strong and steady growth over the past two decades under Moore’s leadership. Part of the PPC Partners family of companies, with roots dating back 75+ years, CarolinaPower transitioned to a stand-alone business unit in 2018. Looking ahead, CarolinaPower is well-positioned for continued growth with four strategically located offices and a field force that exceeds 200 crew members.

A strong advocate for workforce development, Moore served on the ABC Carolinas Board of Directors from 2016 through 2024, leading the association as Board Chair during the Carolinas chapter’s 25th anniversary year in 2023. An ABC Carolinas Apprenticeship Trustee, Moore served as ABC’s Apprenticeship Committee Chair for more than five years, working closely with industry associations and public schools to promote construction trades as a viable career option through state-registered Electrical Apprenticeship programs. He has chaired the South Carolina Upstate Electrical Contractors Apprenticeship program since its inception 17 years ago and serves on construction industry advisory boards at Greenville Technical College and Clemson University. Moore’s accolades include being named to the 2024 Power List of Construction Executives published by SC Biz News and the 2023 Class of GroundBreakers, an exclusive group of individuals recognized for going above and beyond to make a difference for the construction industry in the Carolinas. He is an active member of the local C12 Leadership Forum, a national network that compels and equips Christian business leaders to achieve excellence through the power of peers.

Moore earned his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
