About Katie:
Katie Page joined Hoopaugh Grading Company as the Director of Team Development in 2019. Over the last four years, Katie has worked alongside the HGC Executive Leadership team to execute the company’s strategic vision to be a teaching company. In 2020, HGC opened the doors to the HGC Academy, a 20,000-square-foot state-of-the-art training facility that includes CAT simulators and various hands-on training prompts.
Nearly 50,000 training hours have been provided to teammates using our proactive, innovative, and engaging curriculum. Katie has grown the Team Development Group from three teammates to nearly twenty and is responsible for leading and directing the team’s efforts in Recruiting, Hiring, Onboarding, Safety, Training, Career Pathway Development, Marketing, and Communications. Katie was featured on Episode 28 of HGC’s Give Us the Dirt Podcast as well as on Episode 103 of Equipment World’s podcast, The Dirt where she shared how the HGC Academy was built.
Her career has also included public relations, marketing, and large-scale corporate event planning. Prior to HGC, Katie worked in nonprofit fundraising and led Habitat for Humanity Cabarrus County as Executive Director. During this time, she was introduced to the construction industry and realized her passion for helping others unlock their full potential. Katie resides in Charlotte, NC where she spends her free time wake-surfing on Lake Norman and spending time with family and friends. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Meredith College where she double minored in English and Psychology.
